RSL Peel

The RSL Peel (aka, modified Jessner’s Peel) consists of a 100-gram solution of 14 grams each; Resorcinol, Salicylic Acid and Lactic Acid in a 58-gram hydro alcoholic base and is a more aggressive than our Glycolic or Salicylic peels (though for many patients, more comfortable than a Salicylic peel) and less aggressive than a TCA Peel. It has been formulated to promote cell turnover, regeneration of the skin and has anti-microbial and hydrating properties. Although the peel is especially useful in reducing inflammation, pustules and comedones; it can also be used for any skin type as tolerated to minimize fine lines and refine the tone and texture of the skin.

The effectiveness of the peel is based on the premise that while the strength of the individual acids of the trio may be reduced, when blended together, the sum of their synergistic qualities enhances the overall performance and efficacy of the peel.
